This week in the the life of a Plastic Addict

The title kind of says it all doesn't it?

Well just to be clear this is what I've been up to (hobby wise at least) in the last week....

So we are going to start on Saturday 18th February. This day was my local Games Workshop store's birthday, well they're now a Warhammer store but you get the idea (Warhammer - Liverpool). They had a few events on and "freebies" - I use the word freebies very loosely, you got extras for spending money. I ended up picking up for myself the Citadel Mouldline Remover (a fantastic tool that I've been meaning to pick up for an age, well worth a look for those of you like me that are accident prone, and have there own accident book in their local store), a few of the citadel air paints, the exclusive Jes Goodwin Eldar Sketch Book (for my housemate), and some vouchers (I've decided to use vouchers to save up for my trip to WHW in the next month or two). All of this added up to me getting a XL t-shirt, an Aquila badge, a lanyard, one of those rubber wrist thingys, and the big one a large bag with a printed Aquila, so large in fact that a Skirmish case will fit in it. It is a well made bag and very nice. For me it's super handy as I use a Skirmish case as my painting box, I have it filled with my paints and the models I want to work on that day!

Sunday and Monday were quiet on the hobby front mainly looking at things and thinking I should do this stuff soon......

Tuesday 21st February. Well Tuesday became a session and a half. I decided that I was feeling confident and I was going to get the airbrush going today and get some priming done! So out came the airbrush and the primer, and off we went! I got primed; 30 mark 4 Space marines, 5 Cataphractii Terminators, 5 Tartaros Terminators, 1 Contemptor Dreadnought, 1 Dark Apostle (from BaC), 1 Inquisitor Greyfax, 1 Canoness Veridyan, and a piece of terrain.

Wednesday 22nd February. Wednesday is usually the day that I try to go into my local Games Workshop to paint and socialise. So I went in with a small pack of skaven to paint, mainly to find a colour scheme I liked. So I sat down scribbled some ideas onto paper and got started trying them out. Well it turned out I liked my 1st idea best.

After this was complete I sat and chatted for a while before deciding that I could get the Fenrisian grey on the robes of my clan rats a lot quicker with the airbrush at home. So I packed up, said my goodbyes and headed home. Once home I said hello to the housemates, and started work. In about half an hour I had the blue put down on the Skaven looking like this.

So I was done for the day..... Or was I?
Sat in front of me where all the Space Marines I had built and primed. I was thinking whats next to go on these here models? Well if we think back to the Imperial Fists painting guide (hey self linking, get me!) they need a coat of Ubshanti Bone. I had the paint there (it's one of the airbrush paints I had picked up on Saturday) so why not? Now they look like this!

Wednesday became a very productive day!

Thursday 23 February. So more priming happened today, sat down and got my Nurglings, Plaguebearers, my converted Herald of Khorne, a Tau Hammerhead, and my housemates Chaos Predator (all the spikes in the world!)

Saturday 25th February. Today I decided I was going to try and paint up some more of the Skaven to get a "squad" done, as my local GW has a painting competition rotating between hero, squad and large model. Didn't quite find the time to finish them off but I got some work done on them.

So that's me had a busy week! What about all you lovely peoples?

See you next time from the table of a Plastic Addict!
