Primaris Marines

This week I made a start on the Primaris Marines from the Dark Imperium boxset.

In total there are 4 sprues for the Primaris Marines, none of them are shared with the Death Guard models, unlike the Dark Vengeance box that spread the Chaos and Dark Angels models across all of the sprues. I sat down with the instructions that come with the box set and started to build. First up are the two Intercessor squads.

Squad A are a "active squad" posed as if in a firefight shooting and moving forward (There are no matched poses in this squad):

Squad B are a more "static squad" posed looking around with bolters at waist height (This squad and a total of three posses):

Next comes the Hellblaster squad (With a total of three posses again):

The final squad built was the Inceptor squad (with a total of two posses):

Moving on to the characters, we start with the Ancient:

The two Lieutenants were built next, one armed with a Power Sword and one with a Auto Bolt Rifle:

Finally the Captain armoured in Gravis Armour with a Power Sword and Bolt Storm Gauntlett:

I managed to build all of these in a few hours while visiting my local Warhammer store. Finding very few mould lines, and having no issues with placement of parts, I personally found these models a joy to build.
